Card of the Day: Enemy – Throwing Luchador

We’re going to be doing a daily calendar for the last 4 weeks of the Pixel Lincoln: The Deckbuilding Game Kickstarter campaign, showing off an Item every Monday, an Enemy every Tuesday, a Character every Wednesday, a secret every Thursday, and a Boss every Friday. We’ll give full details about the card and how it is used in the game. Make sure you come back each day!

Yesterday we saw Lincoln’s base weapon, the Beardarang (throw it and it grows back), and today we see our first enemy. There are so many to choose from, so I went with the basic infantry, the Luchador!

We have various Luchadores in the game, but one of my favorites is the Throwing Luchador. Why? Well, he’s a little more powerful than your standard Luchador… and BECAUSE HE IS THROWING A HOT DOG! With mustard. And mustard can leave some major stains.

But seriously, Luchadores are the basic infantry in Pixel Lincoln. John Wilkes Booth has gathered all of his actor friends to gang up and keep Pixel Lincoln from reaching him. The actors dress up as Luchadores to look more menacing (naturally) and throw whatever they can get their hands on. Even if it’s their lunch.

Stats:

Power = 2

Points = 2

Cheat: Down, Down

Ability = DROP: When DEFEATED, reveal the top level card. If an item, place it in your discard pile.

Remember when enemies would randomly drop items? I loved that. In Pixel Lincoln: The Deckbuilding Game, these enemies give you an opportunity for a free card and a sneak peek at what is coming next, which is great.

Check back tomorrow for our first Secret Item.

If you like old-school video games, and you’re looking for an all new style of deckbuilding games, please support Pixel Lincoln: The Deckbuilding Game on Kickstarter! We have some great stretch rewards and custom character cards for our backers. Thanks everyone!
