Card of the Day: Boss – Totally T-Rex (A skateboarding dinosaur, naturally)

We’re going to be doing a daily calendar for the last 4 weeks of the Pixel Lincoln: The Deckbuilding Game Kickstarter campaign, showing off an Item every Monday, an Enemy every Tuesday, a Character every Wednesday, a secret every Thursday, and a Boss every Friday. We’ll give full details about the card and how it is used in the game. Make sure you come back each day!

It’s big boss Friday, which means we are going to fully reveal our VERY FIRST BOSS! Boss Battles happen when the third checkpoint in a level is reached. With the boss designs, we really needed to take it to the next level. They had to be big, and they had to be awesome. And what is more awesome than a skateboarding dinosaur with sunglasses??

I would like to introduce Totally T-Rex. He’s a prehistoric dude with lots of attitude, and he can do a killer 360.

Totally T-Rex hangs out at a half pipe that was naturally formed in between two volcanoes… and if you cross his path, he will totally destroy you. With a power of 6, you better save up your best weapons and knock him out before he gets to you first.

Here are some extra goodies.

And a sweet animated gif of the DS game sprite.

And that’s it for the week! Hope you enjoyed the first look at the different card types. We’ll be back next week with another Item, Enemy, Character, Secret and Boss. Can’t wait!

If you like old-school video games, and you’re looking for an all new style of deckbuilding games, please support Pixel Lincoln on Kickstarter! We have some great stretch rewards and custom character cards for our backers. Thanks everyone!
